Hooven-Dayton Corporation (HDC) has invested in a Nilpeter FB-4200 servo press, a 10-color, UV and IR flexo press with a 16″ web width. The press increases HDC’s capabilities by providing high tension control for unsupported films, allowing for a range of substrate thicknesses from 0.001″ (25µ), to 0.010″ (250µ). It is equipped with an automatic electronic register system and a chill roll system. The addition of the press brings the number of flexo and digital presses at HDC to 11.

This new press expands our capacity, improves our productivity, and allows us to continue to provide our customers with multiple printing solutions. According to Steve Hill, HDC’s corporate controller, Huntington National Bank and the Community Capital Development Corporation were instrumental in securing financing for the new press. Community Capital Development Corp. facilitated securing partial financing from the U.S. Small Business Association. The SBA 504 loan carries a longer term and a lower interest rate than conventional lending institutions. “This is good for both HDC and Dayton,” Hill says. “This new acquisition creates five new press-operater positions, for which Hooven-Dayton is now actively recruiting.”
